tsogo-sun-the-palazzo-montecasino Tsogo Sun’s Palazzo Hotel has once again taken home the much sought-after World Luxury Hotel Awards vote for Best Luxury Casino Hotel in Africa. The hotel first won the award in 2010 and this is now the fifth consecutive year it has been awarded the title.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards are run annually as a way of paying tribute to outstanding luxury hotels around the world. It acknowledges hotels that have excelled beyond regular standards of service and quality and which offer outstanding service, amenities and facilities to their guests.

The award is granted through votes from many areas of the hospitality industry, including independent travel consultants, tour operators and the guests themselves. It includes focus on areas of experience, quality and service.

There are many categories awarded through the World Luxury Hotel Awards including ski resorts, beach resorts, new hotels, island hotels, game lodges, spa hotels and much more. Properties around the world are judged, with the Palazzo taking home the award from African luxury casino hotels category.

The Palazzo is conveniently located in Fourways in Johannesburg, only 20 minutes from Lanseria International airport and 40 minutes from OR Tambo International airport. It is close to Sandton, the business hub of South Africa.

The hotel features 246 luxurious rooms and suites with many small touches to add to the quality of your stay. It boasts a wide range of quality amenities, including the Mangwanani Spa boutique, a fitness center with modern equipment, a large outdoor swimming pool, the Medeo restaurant, cocktails at Café Rialto, a business center, conference rooms and more.
