Content Writer

Let’s say Sawubona to our latest recruit, Thobani Mkhiza who arrives at OnlineCasinosOnline.co.za at a very exciting time. We’re expanding our site to include content in Zulu, and Thobani is just the guy to help us on our mission!

Born in Durban, Thobani studied PC Engineering at Damelin College and spent a couple of years working for private and public companies in their IT departments. He went back to college while working part-time and did his Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies, where he discovered that he had a real passion for writing. For a while, he wrote content for online casinos as a freelancer and caught the gambling industry bug, but he knew that he wanted something greater.

Thobani was on a mission to find the perfect job that would combine his analytical brain and his gift for the gab, as well as one that would help spread the word about the exciting online gambling scene to his fellow South Africans. The fact that he can also do so in his native tongue, is a huge bonus for Thobani. We hope that he’s found just what he was looking for at OnlineCasinosOnline!

Thobani is crazy about music and he’s always got someone humming in his ear via his iPods. (We can even testify that his screensaver is a poster of Sho Madjozi J). When he’s not steaming up the dance floor, Thobani can be found cuddling on the couch with his wife and their delightful daughter, Ayanda, watching soccer games (they’re all big fans of the Spanish football league, La Liga).

Thobani jols hard, but he works harder. He has a fantastic work ethic and he has made it his objective to learn everything he can about the exciting world of South African online casinos, down to the last detail. He found that he has a knack for explaining things clearly and concisely, which is why Thobani will be writing all our guides content from now on. He’s already done excellent work on some of the guides on our site!

Thobani is also our go-to guy about all things bonus related. He loves finding promotions that are geared to South African online casino players. His eagle eye will study the terms and conditions thoroughly to make sure that the bonuses are fair and attainable, and only after the bonuses get Thobani’s stamp of approval, we’re ready to recommend them to our readers!

Get to Know Thobani

Favourite online casino:

“AfriCasino. I’m impressed with their library of games that incorporate titles from some of the best games providers in the industry. AfriCasino has a cool African theme which of course is appealing to South Africans. Oh, and let’s not forget their welcome bonus. It’s pretty generous! I also like online casinos that let me dabble at sports betting. I place bets on my favourite football teams every weekend!”

Favourite online casino game:

“I think that NetEnt’s Rock series of slots is a stroke of genius. There’s nothing better than rolling to the beat while spinning those reels. Have you ever played Guns N’ Roses slot at full volume? It’s insane! When I’m not playing slots, I’m a keen online poker player. I wish I could call myself more than an amateur, but I practice a lot and I think my game’s definitely improving!”
