Bob Fox at Montecasino For two short weeks, performer and musician Bob Fox will be wowing audiences at the Pieter Toerien Theatre in Montecasino with his pleasant sound. The folk singer from the UK has been working in the industry for over 40 years and has released over a dozen albums, both on his own steam and in collaboration with other well-known artists from Billy Mitchell to Richard Thompson.

A native of county Durham, Fox was one of the many artists who rose to fame in the 1970s. Their music was influenced by their working class background and the rise in industry of the period, and their escalation to fame was representative of how their music resounded with the people in their home countries. Nominated twice at the BBC Folk Awards as Best Folk Music Singer, Fox has recently been working as a West End principle in the spectacular historical drama, War Horse. He also toured the UK and Ireland, and made a stop in South Africa earlier this year. This tour will be his second in SA this year.

Audiences visiting Montecasino South Africa can expect him to perform from August 27th to September 6th, and tickets are available for sale through the casino itself or on its website: www.montecasino.co.za.

Fox is expected to cover some of his work from War Horse in his SA show, while he will talk audiences through his process and involvement in making the musical a success. Audiences will be thrilled at his virtuoso guitar skills and his deep, melodic voice, both of which promise a great, relaxing and culture-filled night out at Montecasino. Read our MonteCasino Review
