Dream Finally True for 38m Lotto Winner 50 year old Turffontein single father of 2 plans to buy a home for himself and his mother, and invest in his children’s education, but will continue to live modestly – despite his R32 million jackpot win.

The winner of a recent Lotto Plus jackpot always believed that he’d find gold and never gave up on the dream. The 50 year old man from Turffontein was still coming to grips with the fact that he was a multi-millionaire 32 times over after he found out the amazing news a few weeks ago.

According to the National Lottery operator, Ithuba, the man was one of two players who won R32 million in the Lotto Plus Draw. The winning numbers were 7, 20, 21, 31, 39, 52 and bonus number 51.

The winner, a single father of 2, used the ‘quick pick’ method to choose his numbers on his R80 ticket. He has opted to remain anonymous, although Ithuba was happy to share the details that it could with the public.

Ithuba said that the man “still lives with his mother” and “is in awe of his new multimillion status”.

“The winner revealed he has been playing the lottery for many years and despite not having won anything before, he had faith that one day he would win a lottery jackpot,” said the lottery operator.

Where the Lottery Winnings Will Go:

There are no fancy cars or exotic holidays in the winner’s new future. His priorities at the moment are making his currently-difficult life much easier, including buying a bigger home for himself and his mother.  But he has vowed to continue living modestly.

“I have been living with my mother in her flat for a long time,” he said. “First on my list is to buy a new house where both my mother and I will live comfortably. I will also pay for my daughter’s education, buy a car, get us all on medical aid and invest some of my winnings. Those are my priorities.”

The player has accepted the counselling services offered by Ithubu to big winners. He said that he intends to only tell his closest family members about his win.
