Marketing Boost for African Gambling Trade Conference and Expo Africa’s largest gaming trade show, African Gambling Trade Conference & Expo, has received a marketing boost after entering into a strategic partnership with Clarion Gaming. The latter is the organizer of the world famous ICE Totally Gaming expo which is held annually in London.

The African show is due to take place at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg between July 16th and 18th this year. This will be the third year in a row that the AGTCE will run in the African, and particularly the South African gambling market.

The managing director of Clarion Gaming, Kate Chambers said that while ICE is a showcase for the global gaming industry in all of its forms, “the importance of well-run and professional regional events should not be underestimated.”

“The strategic partnership with what is Africa’s premier gaming industry event, will enable us to work with an organizing team that shares our values and alongside exhibitors that we know well,” she said. “This is a very exciting opportunity and the start of a relationship that we look forward to developing and building upon.”

Also commenting on the strategic alliance was the chief executive of Gambling Indaba, which believes in the idea of bringing all African gambling jurisdictions together under one roof in a bid to share knowledge, to improve gambling on the continent and to network.

Speaking for Gambling Indaba, Percy Kwinda said that he was really excited about partnering with Clarion Gaming’s professional team – a team that has experience in running the world’s largest gaming event. Kwinda said that he believed that Clarion Gaming would bring its instantly recognizable gaming brand, market knowledge and depth of expertise to Gambling Indaba and help grow the event to a “truly world-standard, worth of reflecting the exciting developments taking place in gaming across Africa.”

Speaking about Gambling Indaba’s rapid growth in South Africa’s gambling industry, Kwinda said that the expo really saw a growth spurt following its move to Johannesburg. “Last year’s event saw attendance triple, with floor space sold out and global brands such as Novamatic, IGT, Scientific Games, Azure, Aristocrat and other being represented,” he said.

In this year’s event, world recognized service providers will present their expertise, and other gaming disciples will receive special attention, including bingo, online gambling, sports betting and more.
